No. Airdog air purifiers do not release ionised particles into the air. Charged particles are neutralised on the collecting plates before any air is returned to the room.

TPA® (Techno Plasma Air) uses a 5-step process: a pre-filter, a wire frame, an ionic field, collecting plates and a catalyst filter. Together they capture particles down to 0.0146 micron - around 20× finer than a standard HEPA filter.

Yes. Airdog air purifiers are CARB ozone-safe certified, alongside TÜV, ETL, CE, SGS, ISO 9001, FCC and FDA certifications.

Yes. The pre-filter, wire frame and collecting plates are all washable and reusable, so there are no expensive HEPA cartridges to keep buying. The only consumable part is the catalyst filter.

Airdog units operate at roughly 58–63 dB at their highest setting, and considerably quieter at lower fan speeds.

Yes. Airdog is well suited to homes with pets - just expect to clean the collecting plates and dry the catalyst filter a little more often, as pet dander and odours add to the load.

Yes. At lower fan speeds the unit runs quietly, well below its 58–63 dB maximum, making it suitable for bedrooms. You can also use fan mode overnight to dry freshly cleaned collecting plates.

Press and hold the power button until the unit restarts - you should then see the Wi-Fi light flashing. Follow the in-app setup guide in your user manual to complete the connection.

The remote runs on a CR2025 coin battery (available at most local stores). Press the power button to turn the unit on or off, and the “+” / “−” buttons to adjust fan speed. You can also clear the “C” cleaning reminder by holding the Reset button on the remote for about 6 seconds.

Place the unit on a flat, stable surface with clear airflow around the intake and outlet - avoid tucking it tightly into a corner or against curtains. Central placement in the room gives the best circulation.

No assembly is required. Make sure the internal components (collecting plates and catalyst filter) are seated correctly, plug in, and power on. Full setup steps are in your model’s user manual.

It varies with use - usually somewhere between 6 and 24 months depending on pets, cooking and how heavily the unit runs. Some customers rarely replace theirs at all.

Replace it when it starts to hold odour. First, try drying it in direct sunlight to evaporate trapped moisture, which often clears the smell. If drying doesn’t help, it’s time for a new one. Order through our website and select the correct model (e.g. X3, X5D or X8D).

Replacement catalyst filters are available on our website. Make sure you select the filter that matches your unit’s model so it fits correctly.

Cleaning frequency depends on your air quality. The Airdog reminds you automatically - when it’s time to clean, the display shows “C” instead of the AQI number.

Wipe the wire frames with a damp sponge. Follow the cleaning tutorial video on our website for step-by-step guidance.

The large metal collecting plates can be washed in the dishwasher on a full cycle. If they’re very dirty, soak them in water with detergent for 20–30 minutes first. After washing, make sure they are completely dry before refitting - you can run the unit in fan mode and rest the plates on top overnight to blow them dry.

Wipe it with a damp cloth or vacuum away the dust, then place it in direct sunlight to evaporate any moisture before refitting.

Once everything is clean, dry and refitted, press and hold the Reset button on the remote for about 6 seconds to clear the “C” and return to the normal AQI display.

The catalyst filter is the only consumable part. With regular care - drying it in the sun every 3–6 months - it typically lasts around 2 years, though real-world life depends on your environment (for example a home with smokers or pets) and how often the unit runs.
